How To Run a Sweep Using OnScale | Cloud FEA Solutions Blog

Running thousands of simulations in parallel is natural for us at OnScale. Engineers have full control of their parametric variables, allowing massive design studies to be explored in a very simple, fast manner.

Cloud HPC Explained

For engineers, the time to solve problems and the cost to run simulations is crucial. We have tackled these problems and developed OnScale to give on-demand access to infinite computational resources to solve large problems for the fraction of the cost of legacy CAE tools like Ansys or Comsol.

OnScale Customer Stories | Verathon Incorporated

OnScale is the global leader in Cloud computer aided engineering (CAE), running world-class multi-physics solvers on its Cloud HPC platform. Our platform empowers engineers to accelerate innovation for next-generation products such as 5G smartphones, Internet of Things (IoT) and biomedical devices and driverless car products. OnScale prides itself in offering engineering customers the ability to design and optimize product development cycles. OnScale customer Dr. Kendall Waters, of Verathon Incorporated, recently sat down with us to describe how using OnScale Cloud CAE tools quicken development times, tightens interactions between engineering teams and makes prototyping significantly more efficient.

MWC 2018: 5G is Now! (but not really…)

I attended Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 in Barcelona a few weeks ago and my main takeaway from the entire event was: 5G mobile devices are a long way off. The Big Cell guys – AT&T, Verizon, Vodafone, etc. – were all touting their latest 5G trial results – and some results are indeed impressive. I’m sure the marketing hype around 5G will get them lots of new customers. The major caveat to these 5G trials are that the cell companies are using 5G base stations to transmit data to bulky 5G routers, not 5G smartphones or other mobile devices.

The Future of Engineering | OnScale Cloud CAE Solutions

Every startup begins with an aspiration to solve a challenging problem. If it were easy, anyone would do it. In my past startup, NextInput, we brought amazing new hardware technology to market; however, we did so in spite of our engineering tools, not because of them. It was extremely painful developing hardware technology using expensive, outdated, legacy computer-aided engineering (CAE) software tools running on clunky old “high-performance” computers (HPC). I got tired of watching the CAE and HPC space evolve at a much slower pace than other dynamic spaces like ERP and CRM. There had to be a better way.
